In ancient cities, life area was defined by walls, the tombs often settled outside the main roads. Rock tombs around the İznik, hypojes and monumental plantings continue this relationship partially. The route extends to rural roads and distances unlike the constructions in the center.

All of these monuments belong to the same period, the same social group or the same architectural type. Common features are connecting with the city through death, anma and visibility. Focus on the location in structure technique, font, road relationship and landscape instead of uncertain legends.

Abdulvahap Hill Hipojesi

Hypoje represents tomb chamber type arranged under the soil. The picture or plaster marks in the interior can be sensitive; avoid behavior such as flash, touch and crowd creation in the narrow area.

The Tepe location allows you to view the İznik ovasini and the sur-round. Use the landscape not only as a photo point, but to understand how the tomb area looks remotely to the city.

Barber Rock: Rocked Sauce Tags

Berber Rock Cemetery Monument is a strong example that protects the mass effect of the main rock. The hollows and formats on the surface offer tips on how the structure is processed, but it should not be assumed if each permission is for ritual purpose.

There can be agricultural activities and private ownership limits in the environment. Leave the car in safe place, do not enter the cultivated area and verify the conditions of transportation to the monument from the local orientation.

Five Stone: A Grave Sign Written

The rising large stone blocks in the upper row make Five Stones appear remotely. The article associated with the name Cassius Philiscus requires assessment of the monument with a very specific person and tomb memory from a general road tower.

The visibility of the monument in the road landscape is still important: the city's upcoming passenger, the grave area and the social location of the referred person was perceived through the stone scale. When taking photos, add olive oil and road line in the environment.

Plan Route Safe and Respectful

Due to the distance between the stops, this trip is a combination of a lot of vehicles and short walks. Post-oil soil roads can affect summer warms and poor phone shooting plan; move offline map, water and suitable shoes.

Do not use grave structures such as picnic area or climbing surface. Add a closer stop just daylight, road and access conditions like the Girl Tower; otherwise it is a better experience to spend longer time at three main points.

before setting off

  • ◆Observe the limits of private ownership and cultivated space.
  • ◆Do not climb or write articles on stone surfaces.
  • ◆Verify the rural road status without going.
